BLV Consultancy Ltd. is a UK-based consultancy specialising in inclusive health & equity strategies; rights, rule of law, and governance; community-led advocacy and civic engagement; inter-disciplinary research & policy advisory; non-profit organisational development; and holistic health and well-being (via our trading name Uzima Journey).
Our People
Kene C. Esom is an international law and development specialist with more than 15 years’ experience advising governments, multilateral agencies, and civil society on law, health, and inclusive development. As Managing Consultant at BLV Consultancy Ltd., he brings expertise in human rights and governance, inclusive health and gender equity strategies, inter-disciplinary research, and organisational development.Kene has co-authored several global guidance tools on rights, digital health and inclusive development, supported policy and programming, led research and facilitated initiatives that advance gender equality, civic participation, and social inclusion across several countries. His approach combines technical rigour with community-led advocacy, ensuring that policy solutions are both effective and people-centred. Through BLV Consultancy's Uzima Journey, Kene also champions men’s mental health and holistic well-being, integrating African philosophies of healing and kinship into modern wellness practices.Kene is a Commissioner on the IAS-Lancet Commission on HIV and Global Health and a member of the Human Rights Institute of the International Bar Association.
